Elkhart Indiana was AMAZING! The folks at Adamsville Road church of God took great care of us!
Our day began when we woke in Naperville, Illinois. We stayed last night at the Best Western. It's funny- we've stayed at so many hotels on this trip that I now have a decent assortment of room key cards in my wallet (they rarely ask for them back). Also, when the kids asked where we were staying, we told them "Best Western" and Silas immediately asked "Best Western or Best Western Plus"? The fact that our kids have learned the difference might be a bit concerning... but they're paying more attention to that stuff than I am! Seriously, we're just incredibly grateful to have a roof over our heads each night, food to eat, and the opportunity to do something we love in every state of this nation.
We drove out of Chicago. There are lots of toll roads, so we set our GPS to avoid them. Well, i fyou ever choose to do that, know that it's going to take you through some interesting areas. We're fairly certain we saw several transactions taking place that were of questionable legality!
We're thankful for another day of a reasonably low driving distance, not to mention better gas prices out here in the east! We did, however, lose track of the fact that we would be crossing into the final time zone today. Not really an issue, as we've gotten quick at setting up. We can now say that we've performed in five different time zones (if you count Alaska), and we'll make it six in July, with Hawaii!
The staff at Adamsville Road Church of God was amazing. They had completely cleared off their stage and were totally ready to offer whatever assistance they could to help things along. AND... they prepared dinner for us!

We had a great meal of spaghetti and garlic bread. When you've had as much fast food as we have lately, a meal like this is beyond words. Karen made a wonderful dinner.
The show was absolutely PACKED! The church passed out free tickets all week. They really knew what to do to get folks in the seats. The crowd was AWESOME!!!

The show went better than we could have imagined. !
A bit of maintenance is in order. We need to put some new wheels on the final illusion and do a minor repair inside our sound case. I brought a decent assortment of tools (that I've needed a zillion times now) and I really don't understand how it's possible to drive cross-country and not bring tools.
So, upon packing up the show (with more help from the church folks- thanks again!), we headed on to our hotel tonight in Michigan. We're now in the town where the show takes place tomorrow- Monroe.
Eli was happy also- at the gas station where we stopped, he got to try his first sucker.
